The purpose of the project is to prepare and execute competence transfer for the needs of advanced technologies. Quick mobile technology development and it's wide usage in mobile devices (phone, PDA) is connected with rising demand for programmers who will develop software for this devices.
Partner involved in the project are institutions well experienced in vocational education. The project will help them to establish the stable platform to realise the project and good basis for future educational projects. Co-operation of private training companies and universities gives a chance to create the unique potential of modern IT and educational standards to realise common project. This assures creation of new attractive vocational training adapted to the commercial use of the technology.
The project will have very diverse impact. Trainers will develop their competences not only in the new type of training courses, but in multinational teamwork and education systems building as well. Project partners will establish modern training and certification centres for the technology in demand. From the programmers point of view the project will create the opportunity to gain new competences in innovative mobile technology.
The main goal of the project was to develop innovative training curriculum for vocational education in the field of new mobile technologies. The project facilitated the process of development and transfer of innovative practices and trainings in this field in Europe.
Assuring better access to the vocational training was realised by transfer of training methodology from training centres existing in Europe, developing training programmes unique for every partner, creation of new training centres in South and Central Europe, securing first qualified group of trainers and training materials. In more general dimension, the project contributed and still contributes to the development of knowledge-based society and competitiveness of economy.
The project gives support to effective transfer of competence and contributes to the process of spreading specialized IT knowledge – it supports development in this branch of IT sector. The first step to assure stable development of this sector in Europe, was to guarantee the expected level of competence and knowledge in this specialization by setting up new training centres. Other problems was lack of good training materials adapted to the local context – especially professional training materials.
The short-term objective in the project was improvement of the skills and competences of educational staff (trainers) working for partner institutions. During the project lifetime they improved competences on high level and became certified trainers. They prepared training programmes, having opportunity to gain additional experience in cooperation on the international level.
Long term impact of the project concerns programmers, as extended offer of vocational training in the region gives them opportunity to gain new professional qualifications.
With information technology growing very quickly, the project contributes to the process of sustainable development of European economy and balance regional disproportions.
In the project framework specialist program for vocational training was developed, including wide range of training facilities like books, presentations, exams, tests and e-learning courses, which strongly support the training process. All this materials were adapted to linguistic and cultural needs as well as requirements of each partner country. On the other hand, training programme follows the idea of short term, very intensive course based on workshops and completed with lectures and interactive e-learning (mix of classroom and distance learning). This form of blended learning shortens the process of absorbing theory and allows trainers to focus on practical aspects of the training.
After the first version of programs and materials were ready, pilot training courses were realised in each partner institution with participation of the group of certified trainers. Using conclusions and feedback raised during pilot trainings they prepared final versions of training programmes and materials. Training programmes and materials, adapted to national context and prepared in all partners’ languages, were printed. These materials are ready for use in vocational education courses realised by partner institution.
Project was summarised during the international workshop in 2010, that summed up and disseminated educational benefits of project and the unique way of transfer of innovative ideas in IT sector.
All information about the project: aim, target group, results of trail, conclusions and schedule were published on a dedicated website.
Cooperation between universities and commercial IT companies, resulted with an educational product fitted into contemporary needs of programming services and modern standards of vocational education. All recipients of this project benefit from the cooperation established. Universities enriched their offer in the field of vocational education. IT companies have access to effective academic methodology and skills of trained programmers were improved significantly. And in the end, participants of vocational trainings raise their technical competences taking part in the courses created during the project.

The tangible results of the project may be specified as follows:
- establishment of 5 new training centres for the innovative modern technology;
- 5 training curriculum with additional training pocket (textbooks, workbooks, presentations, e-learning platforms) adapted to specific national and institutional needs;
- professional preparation of the group of 16 trainers ready to train other trainers and programmers.
Intangible results can be defined as
- transfer of new possibilities to the partner regions,
- unique experience for partner institutions involved in the project implementation,
- new method of transfer of training curriculum developed and ready to be disseminated,
- good practice for similar undertakings.
