Title VALORI: Valorize the differences by training, inclusion and job paths
Project Number LLP-LDV/TOI/08/IT/551
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Marketing Text "VALORI" enhances the diversity as a resource for company environment. Through continuous training inside the company, the project guides the responsible for HR towards strategies of active inclusion, in particular equipping them with skills that encourage the participation of disabled in the labour market. Moreover the project try to act on territorial system, so that it can support experimental actions carrying out measures to system. The project at the regional level transfers in Hungary the system of support for disadvantaged people experienced in Tuscany with the Equal project "Coast Revitalization" and at a transnational level promotes a comparison for identifying good practices for inclusion of disadvantaged groups in the labour market.
The integration of social and work policies allows the recognition and valorisation of the working role of disadvantaged persons as a resource which can be usefully employed within the manufacturing system, with evident advantages both in social terms and for the companies involved. We can therefore summarise the main problems which this project intends to address as the lack of an adequate promotion of equal opportunities for all in access to and permanence in the work world, with particular reference to those who are at risk of social exclusion, and in the lack of structured models of continuous and permanent training aimed at the creation of truly inclusive work environments where disadvantaged persons (often introduced into companies solely to meet their legal obligations) are effectively valorised and understood as a resource to be employed in the company context.
The project therefore aims to transfer a training model useful to construct more inclusive work environments through the training of company personnel with “open” modules and tools aimed at experimenting and defining (in accordance with SA 8000 certification parameters) behavioural models which are relevant to the entire company structure. For this purpose the experiments and results of the Equal – Coast Revitalization (IT-G-TOS-016) project will be used. In order to provide adequate support and immediate transferability of the above to the European context, a partnership was chosen between parties who had already had significant experience in the areas under consideration and which are themselves part of local and international networks. The Partnership consists, in a transnational level, of one Hungarian, one England and one German organisations, one of which also has a branch in Belgium. Other Italian partners are 5 provinces of the Tuscany region. The Hungarian partner will transfer the project activities in their own context so as to be able to better study the applicability of the training models to be defined. Proper conduct of the project will bring real results in the area where the activity takes place and these will be translated into models of training modules for company structures. Some results will not be immediately tangible, such as the activation of virtuous circles of project-creation, which will contribute to the improvement of both general employment figures and those which refer specifically to disadvantaged users. All this will have an impact which will have consequences at the level of provincial planning of training provision.
"VALORI" project transposes the original model and provides for its linguistic and technological adaptation, and to update it in order to make the transfer to the target group identified at regional and European level. This group is composed by the managers and responsible of human resources (of personnel and training area) and by employees (including the same disadvantaged persons) of the companies involved.
The transfer of innovation which is planned for has a value mostly geographical: regional and transnational. The project provides for transfer the model of intervention on a total number of 80 subjects: 50 at regional and 30 at transnational level. The stakeholders on matter of job and social inclusion will have to identify, in cooperation with the social partners, the corporate structures and the subject target.
The companies involved will be in all 16:10 at regional level (on average 2 for Province) with 50 persons and 6 at transnational level (2 for partner: UK, HU, DE) with 30 persons.
At the beginning there will be a phase of awareness raising for the employers' associations and the world of companies, which can verify the advantage in participating in the activities and to contribute to the achievement of adaptation. The original methodology and product have not sectoral character, but mixed. It will therefore possible to apply the transfer to persons and companies in different sectors, without need of further specific adaptations.
In the specific the project is going to implement a double transfer:
(a) in regional foresight in the sub-regional territory of Tuscany coast, involving 10 companies and 50 managers and human resources responsible. The local partners (the Provinces of Livorno, Grosseto, Lucca, Massa Carrara and Pisa) will identify the specific target and coordinate, in the context of the cooperation, actions with attention to outcomes and to the impact on the systems of training, labour and of social;
(b) in transnational perspective involving 6 companies and 30 managers and human resources responsibles at all. The structure of transnational transfer provides that on the territory of Hungarian partner will be implemented a complete transfer in every phase on 2 companies and 10 managers/HR responsibles. 4 other companies and 20 persons in Germany and in the United Kingdom will help to define the necessary adjustments in a European dimension, the monitoring of operational experience, to assess and validate the achieved results, on the basis of common criteria, and their dissemination.
