Marketing Text The Footwear sector in Europe is one of the most populated traditional sector, constituted majority by SMEs, and a workforce of all low -qualified, 85% of whom develop operative activities. This sector of activity is one, out from the traditional sectors, that absorbs the most the new technologies and processes and it’s very much engaged with the modernization at a technical, technological and personnel level. Today, Footwear in Europe seeks Marketing, Quality of product and services, Design, Human Potential and labour conditions as their most relevant variables of competitiveness. Every company must have its HSW project where there’re specific tasks addressed to all people inside. The difficulty of implementing those HSW projects in Footwear companies, due to a lack of competencies, has motivated a group of organizations from the most important footwear producer countries in Europe to develop a pack of products ICT based which will be available in 5 languages (PT, EN, ES, EL, IT)
Summary This project aims at developing, piloting and disseminating an innovative “cascade training methodology”, in the field of Health, Safety and Hygiene at Work, based on b-learning which includes 3 b-learning courses targeted to different groups of individuals working in footwear companies.
Description The project seeks the development of a innovative learning product, by a partnership which meets the all needed competences and will work as a whole group in order to put into the product all possible perpectives, providing a continuous validation of it.It’s also supported by a strong coordination, and coordination of the several workpackages, which the work will be divided into. A special attention will be given to the Quality Assurance Plan in addition to a strong dissemination which will start since the very beginig of the works.

Product information The main product of the project is the “Cascade Training Methodology” constituted by a package of a guide and a booklet target to tutor/mentor and 3 B-learning courses targeted to 3 groups of employees in Footwear companies: 1 - HSW responsible (more dense and deeply developed concerning the contents, including a “pedagogical” content which aims at developing pedagogical competences in this particular target-group to improve, tutoring and follow up the other training groups); 2 - department top responsible (whose contents will be very oriented to operative questions, and also seeking the development of some important pedagogical and leadership competences in order to proceed with the “cascade training process”); 3 - workers (which contents will be totally operational, task-oriented, applying to active methodologies such as videos, check-lists, self evaluation quizzes).The main objective of this innovative on-line training process, in cascade, is to help footwear companies to assume and implement their HSW plans, accomplish legal requests, improve labour conditions and promoting the standards of health and quality of work and life of their employees, and simultaneously, to develop the transferable skills of adults in labour market, concerning HSW, ICT, leadership, and the capability of learning to learn, which are key skills on recognitions and validation of competences, improving their employability, and personal entrepreneurship.
