Marketing Text The purpose of the research,conducted in all partners' countries, was to make a more defined competitive outline of the countries through updating the existing and accessible data and through survey of data original and innovative;
The areas of investigation referred to: aspects of the daily life in relationship to the customs and traditions, commerce, education, politics, sport and specific area of the communication and promotion of the productive and commercial activities of the companies.
A particular investigation concerned social and cultural aspects with the aim to underline the "common sense of the value" set for expressions linked to (word – image - colours) of usual use, brought on a preconstituted pilot panel representative of the universe of reference. Results acquired from inspections on Internet, publications, official data base and interview
by team partners were collected in five questionnaires. The results were later assessed, compared and evaluated - and listed in a Summary of research that can be downloaded from the project website, public area, at http://www.eucomen.eu/studies and research.

Area of application to make a transversal analysis of the current situation about advertisement and communication of SMEs in the 5 countries participating in the project and identify transversal common issues arising from this analysis.
