Project Number ES/08/LLP-LdV/TOI/149008
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
In most European countries there is the possibility of experiencing in company placement for vocational training students at a national scope. For that purpose there are several guidelines and materials for ensuring the quality of the internship. When this in company placement is a cross border mobility experience, there are more constraints and more variables to be taken into account in order make it successful. The different stakeholders taking part in internships for vocational training students must face difficulties that restrain the participation of students and graduates in mobility programmes. (for instance: SMEs that think it will be very difficult to host foreign students, teachers that would like to encourage their students to take part in in company placements abroad but they don’t know how to find companies for them, students that do not take the risk of an internship abroad as they are not sure if the experience will be successful, etc.).
The project’s goal is to facilitate the procedures of in company transnational mobility to teachers, intermediary organizations, students and companies through an easy handbook translated into each national language. Through this handbook, companies, students and teachers will find easier to take part in existing mobility programmes.
The project aims at developing different materials and guidelines already published and used for national internships in order to create a handbook adapted to transnational internships. This handbook will be disseminated with an European scope in order to prevent unsuccesful mobility experiences, make clear the role of each actor in cross-border internships, facilitating the quality procedures of the whole mobility experience and standarizing them both for old EU and new EU members taking into account common and local needs.
The main objective of the project is to ensure the quality of the cross border mobility experience for a wide range of vocational training student regardless of company sector, country, and field of vocational training.
