Marketing Text The SEATRAINING project aims to develop a specific and approved model of training on a European scale for the professional training of the marinas personnel.
Summary The SEATRAINING project is based on the conclusions of the GESINPORTS project, co-financed under the Interreg IIIC Community initiative, which showed important training needs in the nautical sport sector and a lack of European recognition of the professionals of this sector. It is also based on the Maritime Policy Green Paper, which points out the need to improve training in the port sector. The objective of SEATRAINING is the acquisition of a specific training model on a European scale for the professional development of the employees of the nautical facilities.
Description The first step of the project will be the creation of a common catalogue of professional profiles to enable homogeneus recruitment processes that will make access to the European labour market easier. The second step is to find the specific training needs in the nautical sport sector. Then a curriculum system will be created, followed by the development of pilot experiences.

Product information The project aims the creation of a Common Catalogue of Professional Profiles in the sport nautical facilities. Then, regarding the detection of training needs, a survey has been created to this purpose and also a database which shows all the results of the interviewed ports and enables the creation of a report on theses necessities. A new curricular system will be created. Then a certification plan for the project teaching material will be established. The project will be disseminated through the setting up of a webpage,the project's logo, press releases, the distribution of Newsletters, leaflets, folders, ballpoint pens..All the activity of the project will be developed following a established Quality Indicators Report and will be managed through minutes of the meetings, works control sheets.
