Marketing Text In general the project aims at improving the competitiveness of small and micro enterprises by raising awareness about and supporting management staff in strategic planning. The goal of the project is to provide an educational offer which is flexible enough to address the specific needs of the target group (e.g. time and place flexibility), is adoptable and modular (e.g. different backgrounds, sectors) and reflects the practical needs of the end users.
Summary In general the project results are targeting small enterprises of all sectors. The potential users of the project results are managers of these enterprises, owners or employees who are taking strategic decisions.
The following list of steps of the project implementation shows the main results of the project:
+ Cross-cultural analyses: A study has been performed that served as basis for the elaboration of the learning models and content. In each partner region the needs of small and micro enterprises have been assessed and analysed (personal interviews, questionnaires, … with personnel in regional enterprises, stakeholders etc.). The analyses has been compiled and compared on a transnational level. The analyses aimed at outlining intercultural needs in terms of strategic development. A report on intercultural management strategies has been the result of this step.
+ Development of the learning model: A blended learning model combining on site and e-learning components has been elaborated for management staff in small and micro enterprises.
+ Elaboration of the Strategy-Train curriculum: A modular curriculum for strategy training has been elaborated.
+ Learning Content: Learning materials and guidelines about these materials have been elaborated. The materials include different modules which can be used as a whole programme or can be used as single components to address specific learning gaps.
+ Implementation of the e-learning modules: This addresses the technical implementation of the elearning modules.
+ Pilot application and test cycles: In close connection to the implementation the modules have been tested and reworked.
+ Development of the final Strategy-Train training programme (www.strategy-train.eu).

The results of the project are:
+ a report on cross-cultural analyses;
+ an (e-)learning concept and a curriculum which is addressing the target group and is feasible for training 'strategic planning';
+ a modular course programme consisting of different learning blocks which are relevant to the target group.
+ written tutoring/training materials;
+ course instructions (instructions for tutors);
+ pilot courses in four different countries with e-learning and on-site training with collaboration components of the users in the different countries.
+ a clear strategy for the continuous use of the project results.
