Aim: To improve the competitiveness of small European wine-producers through improved marketing techniques
Target beneficiaries: Micro-producers (with fewer than 10 FTE employees) with marketing needs, in less well-known regions, such as those represented by the partnership: Czech Republic; Romania; Alicante, Spain; South Sweden; Bavaria, Germany; Primorska (Slovenia); Languedoc-Roussillon, France; Le Marche, Italy.
Planned outputs: Tools and methods to improve marketing (some print, mainly electronic; guide to using these resources (some print, mainly electronic); Web site.
Evidence base: Good practice (mainly from England, Austria and Piemonte, but also from other regions and countries in and beyond the EU); Survey of marketing needs, analysed by the University of Alicante; expertise in marketing, University of Alicante; expertise in delivery of learning, Folkuniversitetet Lund and University of Glasgow
Planned impact: Improved marketing for micro-producers who responded to the survey; marketing tools and methods available to wine cooperatives, local wine promotion boards etc; Universal access through the web site (to be maintained for 5 years after the end of the project; sustainability through 1) dissemination during the project and 2) paid consultancy after the project.

Summary The project aims to meet the marketing needs of micro-producers of good quality wine who face difficulties in selling their product.
Description Drawing on a survey of micro-producers of wine in seven countries and the expertise of the partnership we are developing tools and methods of use to wine producers who aim to improve the marketing of their wine.
