“A ‘Quality Training Outcome’: for Service Users, for Service Providers, for Quality Employers, for the General Disability Sector"
‘Quality of Life Measures’, co-ordinated by COPE Foundation, Cork, Ireland, in association with 9 other partners, and representing 8 E.U. countries, is a Leonardo da Vinci funded project, which sets out to ‘Develop an Instrument to Evaluate the Impact of Inclusive Employment on the Quality of Life of Disabled People, placed in Employment as an Outcome of Vocational Training’.
Partnership Countries include: Ireland, Austria, Hungary, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Croatia and Belgium.
The 2 year project of which COPE Foundation (IE) is the lead partner, addresses Leonardo principles such as ‘improving the quality of, and access to, continuing vocational training’, ‘developing the quality of Vocational Education & Training (VET) systems and practises’, ‘the development of practices to facilitate access to training for people most at a disadvantage in the labour market, including disabled people’.
Project target groups include: People with Disabilities, Service Providers of Vocational Training & Employment, VET Systems and Practices, Programme Planners, Employers, EU/National Funding programmes.
The aim of this project is to develop an instrument which can be used by service providers of Vocational Education & Training, to better measure the impact of their programmes, on the quality of life of people with disabilities, in employment. The instrument may also be used to more effectively match a person to a particular work environment
