Project Outcomes & Result:
The project will propose useful transferable tools and methods for the implementation of the ECVET devices in the Trucks Maintenance sector. For the recognition, the impact has to be evaluated according to each national certification framework (subsidiarity principle). All the pedagogical innovations could be spread to other training pathways or training schools or sectors. The project will propose for young in Vocational training to profit from the same process which exists in Higher Education (University): to offer the possibility to attend a part of their training curricula in different European countries within the frame of a partnership of training centres.
As for the Bologna – Sorbonne process (launching the ECTS process), the implementation of ECVET is a long term process due to its technical specifications and to its impact on the training delivery of each national certification system (especially on the assessment, validation and certification stages). The European Class in Trucks Maintenance project could impact the VET system by proposing tools and methodology for implementing ECVET. Also, the VET systems in Europe will be deeply impacted from the identification of needs for validation. All actors involved in the training delivery will also be concerned: they will have the possibility to use concrete and adapted tools and methods for learning and implementing the ECVET device.
The training centres will have the possibility to use concrete tools and methods to implement recognized European mobility. They will also be aware of the need of cooperation at the European level. Especially, the project constitutes a real opportunity to gain a new expertise on Acknowledgement of Prior Learning, Training modularisation, Learning outcomes approach, Continuous assessment.... All these pedagogical innovations would be transferred to other pathways existing in these training centres.
Plans for the future:
The project will propose advice for the integration of European training units within national qualifications systems, according to their regulations. In this sense, this project will innovate and improve the training courses’ contents. It will develop transnational mobility and develop linguistic knowledge for professional purposes.
At the end of the project, the results will be offered by the EuroClass in Trucks Maintenance to other institutions outside the heavy vehicle industry. The consortium EuroClass in Trucks Maintenance will seek funding from industry to maintain and develop the course material.
The results can be used in all industrial sectors where these skills exist. The courses, which will be given during the project will be offered to target groups. The results are totally transferable to other geographic surroundings. The demand for technicians with this profile are well known. It could implement for other truck constructors and trade marks.
The results will be transferable to any country or region of the EU. The material will respond to common needs of training in this productive sector of great importance in the entire EU.
After amendment it can be used in many other productive and services sectors like Nursery and Care, Aeronautics, Mechanical Manufacture, Technicians of Pharmacy, etc.
It will be transferable to vocational training systems of any EU country and will be in accordance with the EU high-priority objective in Education (according to ECVET system from the Declaration of Copenhagen of the 30 of November of 2002 signed by 31 Ministers of Education, the European social interlocutors and the European Commission).
