20 placements in the classic & alternative tourism field in Greece.
Placements duration: 14 weeks.
Promoter: Internationale Kommunikationswerkstatt e.V., Hamburg
Sending organisation: FILIA e.V., Jever Str. 9, D-12157 Berlin (www.filia-ev.de).
Hosting partner is the Youth Centre of Corinthia in GREECE (www.knk.gr) and the placements will be in the region of Corinthia (Pelopennese).
BENEFICIARIES: Unemployed young people and people who are seeking their first work with suitable qualifications (scholastic and/or professional). The group consists of equal numbers of male and female participants.
The classic & alternative tourism placements are leading to qualifications and a prospective offer of employment for candidates who successfully complete their placement. Trans-national training does not only offer opportunities to improve technical and linguistic skills but, in addition, it provides the input of two innovative training elements which are necessary for the training of beneficiaries in the context of a more harmonised Europe: a European professional mentality (employment of the people depends on the professional skills being adapted to a time of globalisation) and an awareness of being a European citizen.
ACCREDITATION AND VALIDATION ARRANGEMENTS : At the end of the programme, the ability and the progress of the candidate in the host country will be reflected within a professional and linguistic certificate issued by the hosting organisation.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONAL TIMETABLE: The operation of the training programme was guaranteed, as the promoter and the Greek organisation have gained years of valuable experience in the exchange of young workers. They have carefully designed procedures to ensure best practice: the programme was planned and managed by the promoter of the sending country (in collaboration with the sending organisation FILIA e.V. In Berlin and local partners, who are also assessors of the programme) as well as the host organisation (who will also liaise with their local partners, assessing the programme).
The hosting organisation is specialised in linguistic and professional training for young people. This organisation nominated a person who will have the responsibility of tutoring and monitoring the progress of the beneficiaries on the training programme.
