LPT project aims at developing training and competence based assessment tools for technical trainees and professionals, such as sound and light engineers and managers, in the live performance sector.
The target group for the proposal are all training to become or working on live performance technical professions and specially those moving on to become technical managers and designers.
Besides of individual workers in the field, the target group also consists of theatre employers, unions and training organisations focusing on developing the field of the live performance technical professions and the life-long learning possibilities of the professionals.
The LPTinEU project is based on the innovative solutions created during the Theatre Technical Training in the EU and PoCeHRMOM projects to develop tools to best suit the needs of the professionals and training in the Live performance technical area.
By integrating the technical solutions of both earlier projects, applying them on the undocumented fields of design and technical management and collecting existing resources and references on the web, the LPT project aims at creating more transparency of competences and qualifications and increase understanding of the national background of technical professions.

The results of the project are a set of tools for the description, assessment, comparison, and (self) evaluation of professional competences in the live performance field in Europe. The results include digital portfolio, multilingual terminology description database for the live performance field and wiki-platform online tool for describing technical competencies on light, sound, stage, design and management.
All the outcomes including competences are related to the EQF level descriptions to help the transparency of qualifications and the understanding of competences together with their learning outcomes.
