Marketing Text The process of validation of non-formal learning is rapidly developing, which gives a good background for the sustainability of the products developed during this project. Methodological practical recommendations for validating non-formal learning will be used by practicians and by educational policy makers for the improvement of the processes and procedures of validation non-formal learning. Tourism sector representatives will have a tested/piloted electronic tools for competence testing, which will be very helpful in the overall management of human resources in companies and for individuals in their life long learning process. The reconstructed/redeveloped training programmes in tourism sector will be used by training institutions for training of students and adults. All of the participating partners in the project are interested in sustainability and further development of the non-formal learning validation system.
Summary The project addresses the processes and systems of validation of non-formal and informal learning, responding to the needs of employees and job-seekers to have recognition of their competencies acquired during their working life. The tourism sector has been chosen as a target sector because of the increasing number of individuals working in tourism sector (hotels) in Lithuania and other EU partner countries. The project will be implemented by 8 partners from 5 EU countries. The partnership is based on the effort to use the best European practice in the field of validation of non-formal learning. Each country has its own tools, instruments and procedures as well as different contexts: different legislation, educational systems.
Description The aim of the project is to evaluate the existing tools and practices for validating non-formal learning and to offer the most practical and relevant ones based on the experience of the five EU countries. The project objective is to facilitate the process of validating non-formal learning, with a focus on the needs of the pilot tourism sector.
