The project Youth into Work wants to help develop the competences of young long-time unemployed (18-27 years) which have already a certificated vocation. The competences the young people already gained are aimed to refresh and rebuild during the project to give them the chance to find a good job.
First of all, the participants have to go through a so called competences analysis (3-6 weeks) which a psychologist is doing together with the participant in order to develop a "development and integration plan" where to set goals and ways to fulfil these goals.
Next to trainings how to apply for a job, the young get help from the project for searching internship and also for searching a job.
The internship in a foreign country has the goal to help the young people to develop and to enlarge their chances after the successful internship at the employment market and also their ways of thinking...
The internship will last 8 weeks within the time-frame 20.10.02 - 31.05.04.
Groups of each 10 participants are build and send into 3 different countries. The internship placements are searched in accordance with the partners in Austria, Great Britain and Spain and according to the vocations and the needs and wants of the young.
