Marketing Text PreQual steps aims to support migrant women to enter the formal labor market within the health and care sector by implementing the course “Prequalilification for migrant women entering the health and care sectors".
PreQual steps aims to support migrant women to enter the formal labor market within the health and care sector by implementing the course “Prequalification for migrant women in the health and care sector” in further European countries: Czechia, Greece, Hungary and Spain. As during the last three years the course has been developed, successfully implemented and tested in Austria, Germany and Italy within the previous PreQual project. (www.prequalonline.org).
Through the implementation of PreQual Steps, the concepts of PreQual will be expanded by new European aspects concerning female migration, the labor market and the health and care sector. After the two-year project period, the implementation and evaluation of the concept will be in the position to take into consideration national aspects of 9 European countries. 5 PreQual courses, 2 leaflets and an interactive website will be some of the results of the project.
PreQual steps is based on a completely new concept of training, which represents an interface between regular educational programs within the field of health and care, educational institutions and migrant women which represent a strongly discriminated group within the labour market. The innovative character of the project is to be seen on several levels.- On the one hand it is based on the intercultural and anti-racist education approach of the methodology of Paulo Freire and Augusto Boal (Theatre of the Oppressed) and on the model of evaluation (self-evaluation concept of Ras migras/maiz according to anti-racist education guidelines). On the other hand it is based on a combination of pre-qualification, practical experience and empowerment.
Within this concept lifelong learning is understood as being a process of development, which - within a suitable environment - necessarily involves participative and emancipatory elements in the methodology, as well as gender mainstreaming, advancement of women and integration. Moreover it includes approaches for the dealing with the specific strains within this field of occupation.
The curriculum already takes into account the particularities of 6 different European countries concerning their health systems, their systems of education and concepts of care (AT, BU, DE, ES, GR, IT). It addresses trainers, organisations of migrants and training institutions within the field of health and care and representatives of private and public health institutions. (...)
The present concept is being enlarged through the innovative IT-based platform, which – following the principle of participation - offers possibilities for exchange among experts and secures the transparency of the results.
