Marketing Text Le projet vise le développement professionnel de plus et l'entraînement d'enseignants qui enseignent aux collèges professionnels avec un fort foyer sur l'intégration d'ICT dans l'apprentissage et l'entraînement.
The project aimed at the further professional development and training of teachers who teach at vocational colleges with a strong focus on the integration of ICT in Upper Austria.
Their experience in applying eLearning models in everyday teaching was enlarged by the international co-operation with Northern Irish teachers and experts in order to get new orientations and ideas for innovative pedagogical approaches, in particular for the integration of social software and modern audio and video applications like e.g. podcasts.
The development of ICT and its application in education and training was proceeding very rapidly. Therefore trainers as well as education providers had to undertake efforts to keep the pace of the fast moving young trainees who have high expectations on the education system to integrate the new technologies and their latest innovations in the vocational system.
The main aims of the project and the expected outcomes were:
- exchange of experience with a focus on multimedia and social software
- presentations of examples of best practice in eLearning methodology and didactics
- continuation of the professional staff development on an international level to improve the trainers\' professional qualifications
- production of podcasts about the mobilities in 3 languages (German, English, Catalonian) by the participating partners as a means of dissemination.
The whole project was a joint initiative of the 3 partners, the Education Board Upper Austria (AT), the Centre de Recursos Pedagògics (Pedagogical Resources Centre) (ES) and the Souhern Education and Library Board Armagh (UK): mobilities took place to Armagh (NI-UK) and Linz (AT) in 2007 and 2008. They fostered the cooperation between the trainers and strengthened the partnership of the institutions.
