Summary This project will increase the social inclusion of people with disabilities by helping to eliminate artificial barriers, including prejudice and lack of practical support. This will be done by training employers and workers in job and training centres, with the aim of fostering positive attitudes to employing and training people with disabilities and practical knowledge of the workplace adaptations required to make this possible. Technical and vocational training including distance learning, specifically designed for people with mobility and other impairments, will be provided with a view to improving these people’s employment opportunities. Reports and comparative analysis will be produced, in order to identify the obstacles to the education, training and employment of people with mobility impairments in four Europeans countries (Romania, Germany, Hungary and U.K.). Products will include a guide to good practice in employing people with disabilities, a database of employers, disability organisations, existing training, good practice and legislation. Dissemination activities will include training workshops, a project web site and mailshots targeting employers, trade unions, training and job centres.
