Product Web-based training toolkit for machine operators in industry
Title Web-based training toolkit for machine operators in industry
Product Type website
An interactive training toolkit will be available from www.intetrain.org to support machine operators to be trained on the work-related processes, according to an integrated approach regarding (a) occupational health & safety, (b) environmental aspects, (c) quality management, and (d) fire protection issues. Training will be focused either on continuous on-the-job-training or on specific training programmes dedicated to learn about actual operating requirements (e.g. for new operators, young trainees), with the advantage that the integrative training approach will be more effective and time efficient for both, operators/trainees and their trainers. Managers and trainers will have the opportunity to adapt the training modules to company-specific requirements and monitor the training results (e.g. to see results of self assessment tests).
Target group Machine operators from machinery and/or metallurgy sectors
Process specific risks, their causes and consequences and ways to minimise risks will be highlighted in the toolkit through interactive training modules. The operator/trainee can in such a way be updated on actual requirements on the operational level. The e-learning part will include various self-assessment tests that the trainee will have to undergo. The questions of the test will be randomly selected from an existing database to ensure objectiveness. The operator will be able to view the results of tests immediately. Test results will be saved for later evaluation/monitoring through trainers and possible repetition later on.
Trainers/managers will have the possibility to monitor training results. A test certificate will be available at the end of the training session.
Area of application
Principally all other industrial sectors as well; but training material would need update/reprogramming for sector specific process risks
