Summary 16 Students of the 4th form of the Bakip Feldkirch will be given the opportunity to do the practical training in UK and Ireland.This practical lasts 3 weeks, from 14th of February till 4th of March. Thinking in terms of the European dimension has become a necessity. The quality of teacher training as well as of childcare institutions can only be enhanced through transnational comparsion and evaluation.There is a great need for gaining experience with childcare establishments being commited to improving and promoting high quality childcare standards and to working on the self-assessments process. There is special need for gaining practical experience in the fields of early childhood education and after school services. There is also need for new ways of lesrning based on motivation, autonomy, doing and experiencing things on your own. Mobility projects meets these demands.Our aims and objectives: To strenghtens our students`vocational competence, their educational skills and their expertise. To gain insight in the European dimension of childcare. Dealing with the dimension of quality in childcare: our students participating in the projects are supposed to examine different aspects of quality in childcare. They should learn to recognize and to reflect on quality features. They are supposesd to compile questions that may serve as a guideline for their investigations that should be carried out in childcare establishments in UK and IRL as well as in AT. To enhance their grasp of English (everyday language as well as technical terminology).
