Title Modular teaching and learning offers for contemporary and needed further education
Project Number D/04/B/F/PP-146 157
Product Microteaching course with the title: Optical sensors and MOEMS based on microtechnologies
Title Microteaching course with the title: Optical sensors and MOEMS based on microtechnologies
Product Type modules
The aim of the module is to develope engineering and technical expertise, to train, or to rise the interest of technical people in new technologies.
The module consists in face to face training, using
a Power Point presentation, of 30 minutes, with many pictures and exemples.
A hard description of the modules (slides) was distributed at the beginning of the presentation, so that the coursants had their own material.
A CD will be prepared and distributed to the coursants in the future.
The course addressed to graduated people either already working in the field, or are likely to be involved in related field in the future.
The target group of the modules consists of MS students, own young employes and engineers from a small Romanin company, activating in microelectronic and sensors.
The course consists in 2 modules:
Module 1: Technology, Design; Module 2: Applications
They are describing specific new materials and processes, necessary for the developing of different optical microsensors - based on microtechnologies), with many pictures and examples. The quality of the grafical design has helped to build a clear structure of the content.
The participants had basic knowledge in the domain, so their level of understanding has been met. They appreciated the information to be usefull for their future work.
The 30 minutes period was apropriate for raising the interest for the presented topics and also for some new basic knowledge.
Practical lectures in the technological room are provided – participants may see experiments and different technological and characterizing equipment working. This way, comprehensive information is provided for the participants.
Area of application
Optical sensors, Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MOEMS)
The persons attending the course need to have minimum knowledge in the area of microelectronics (and microtechnologies).
A CD with the course support will be prepared in the near future and distributed.
Flyers about the modules with a short description of the content are prepared. Partners are announced via e-mail about the content of the modules. The courses are announced on the web page of our institute and on the web page of the CTT Centre of Technologic Transfer which is located in our institute.
