Target group SEMs and other research laboratories
The presentation leads through important terms connected with name of Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman and explains all important terms like Raman sprectroscopy and Raman spectroscop. We focused on the one that is at our school and on which we do much research. Last part of the presentation describes one of each the most important samples we observe on this spectroscop, which are silicon deposit, saphir deposit, two states of diamond (twinning and nucleus) and nanotube ropes.
Results that we have and offer here are up to date and on the same level as you can get from other world laboratories. Nano department at our University has a good name and does serious research.
We applied this module on two seminars already and assuming from the discussion, people were interested in this problematics.
Area of application
Laboraories where they do nano research, whether it is at chemical, natural or electrical departments, centers where vacuum technologies are applied.
Fully equipped vacuum technoloogy where nano samples can be grown, SEM for watching what is grown on the samples and, of course, Raman spectroscop for learning the type of nanotubes, finding out whether vthere are any defects and where samples have their peaks. Raman spectroscop is final part of evaluating the sample.
Although nanotechnology is already being applied in vast number of products and industries, from our point of view, it is purely a research task.
Modul is transferable so far anywhere where it can be presented in Slovak and English.
Transferability also depends on orders and specification of our partners.
Availability of module itself is high. We suppose that if any of our partners were interested in this module, we would have to send our researcher who would present it as the topic is very specific and needs lots of knowledge in this filed. If a person is working within nanotechnologies but not with Raman spectroscope itself, it is impossible for him to present this module.
Module is designed for such laboratories where requirements for application mentioned above are presented.
