First module deals with reliability and its definition mathematic description. This module is considered as a heavier and the most important – it defines basic Reliability Measures which are required in other chapters. The module transparently provides basic definitions and could be used as a manual for orientation in this area.

For category description of electronic component or system reliability in time is necessary to define, clearly and unambiguously, reliability criteria. Module defines Elemental types of failures (Non conditional failure, Conditional failure, Sudden failure, Progressive failure, Occasional failure, Occasional failure and Partial failure) and it splits failures to two categories, from viewpoint of diagnostic and in accordance to valid technical standards: Collision failure that represent combination of sudden and entire failure and Degradation failure as a combination of progressive and partial failure. Beside these definitions, it is really important to accurately described them in pragmatic way – this task solution represents mathematic and its model of reliability measures. Module clarifies reliability criteria as Distribution function, Failure probability density, conditioned reliability, failure rate, mean time till a failure, mean time till repair or mean time between repairs - form mathematic point of view. Each of defined and described parameters provides full information about course of reliability of an electronic element, or an electronic system and allows it complete analysis. Mutual relations between described reliability measures are summarized in charts and tables.
Module creates an open and dynamic complex and can be easily upgraded according to current advance or particular demands and low-tech parts can be omitted. That means that microteaching module never been finished and they will be in continually development progress.
