Title Curriculum for the Master of Engineering in Applied Computational Mechanics
Product Type program or curricula
Curriculum structurised in modules and based on ECTS, built of courses with modern, industry orientated contents, e.g. multiphysics, supplemented by contents like social competence, management techniques etc.
Target group The target group of the ESoCAET project are persons with an education in engineering and at least 2 years of vocational practice who want to develop their knowledge or to get a new vocational orientation. In an ideal way, Bachelor graduates, e.g. designers who want to improve their promotion prospects, get the chance to reach the master title in industry with ESoCAET.
A flexible curriculum was developed, consisting of the following 11 modules:

3.Solid Mechanics and Heat Transfer
4.Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics
6.Nonlinear Computational Mechanics
7.Basics in Multiphysics
8.Advanced Simulation Techniques
9.Management Skills and Processes
10.Management of Product Development and Manufacturing
11.Master thesis with Colloquium
Area of application
The application range of the newly developed curriculum is the master study course "Master of Engineering in Applied Computational Mechanics".
Persons with an education in engineering and at least 2 years of vocational practice
A transferability of the project results in other countries or other geographic contexts is easily possible due to the modular development of the Curriculum and the study contents. The modules of interest can be translated to other languages or offered via internet.
The first Master Course startet in September 2005 and will continuously be offered beginning in the winter term.
