The beneficiaries will work on the project topic in three work assignments (see below). The beneficiaries have gathered theoretical knowledge about the topics listed below in their business studies and IT classes and can explore this knowledge during their work placements. Each work assignment finishes with handing in the work results (so-called milestone). The beneficiaries are expected to hand in their results on the dates mentioned below in digital form by transferring their files onto an internet platform called LO-Net, which is only accessible with a password.
Important note on the topics and subtopics:
The subtopics to the three work assignments are merely a collection of ideas at present and not all of them will have to be worked on. They should be understood as a list of possible alternatives, from which the beneficiaries will receive a selection of topics at the appropriate time. The beneficiaries will be given worksheets with specific questions and work aids so that dealing with the work assignments will become easier for the beneficiaries and the work placement companies.
Part 1: Compiling information about the work placement company

This assignment covers roughly 8 weeks. The beneficiaries are expected to hand in the respective work results by the end of December 2004.
