Overview over possible levels and strategies for the implementation of SInnDesign materials and tools into the VET systems of the partner countries based on similarities and differences of educational systems and sectoral integration of DfS. Relevant stakeholder for the implementation of sectoral and national procedures for curricula development have been identified.
The situation analysis in WP 1 presents the basis for the development of the national training strategies: the VET offer has been screened and the degree of the integration of Design for Sustainability (DfS) has been pointed out. Via interviews with VET institutions and business associations of the addressed three sectors and the performed online questionnaires for companies, the demands and needs on education on DfS have been portrayed. SInnDesign materials and tools have been developed for two levels, levels 4 and 5, having in mind the differences and specificities of each level and country.
In each partner country the VET systems show specific characteristics in sharing of competences for curricula development whereas there are some similarities in the structure of Vocational and Educational Training: In Portugal and Spain the VET system is more based on institutional education whereas in Denmark and Austria there is the so called DUAL System with both combining presence at school and practice in companies. On basis of the gathered information of WP 1 the appropriate IVET levels to be addressed in each participating country have been selected. Therefore, for each country, a short general overview of the education system is given and subsequently a deepening on the educational levels and the curricula development on these levels.
A description of the possibilities in short and long term integration of the developed SInnDesign materials and tools is given for the four partner countries. Goal of the national training strategies is to show the procedures and involved stakeholders for curricula development or changes of individual subjects or modules. The training strategies are based upon the CEDEFOP country reports on VET in Europe (http://www.cedefop.europa.eu/en/information-services/vet-in-europe-country-reports.aspx) and the contribution of national experts.
For the comparability of the VET systems the EQF European Qualification Framework has been used and the situation analysis shows the suitable educational levels to be addressed.
