Title 1 - Qualification Framework - Need Analysis Report (+Technical Specifications)
Product Type procedure for the analysis and prognosis of the vocational training requirement
Marketing Text Qualification Framework - Need Analysis Report bundles national reports from AT, DE, IT and RO, thus describes the special language learning needs and requirements of Blind and Visually Impaired People working in the wellness sector, summarised into a common Needs Analysis Report, which also contains detailed Technical Specifications and guidelines, which were very useful during the implementation of the project's activities.
The Qualification Framework can be considered as Guidelines and Technical Specifications for the project implementation. It has been the basic document for the transfer of the ELLVIS and VET4VIP projects products. Therefore, it is focused on the specific/special needs of the target group, i.e. blind or visually impaired people working or preparing to work in the wellness sector.
So, this survey gave an effective contribute to achieve the projects objectives by supporting all the members of the consortium to give an adequate answer to the language learning needs of the target group.
In order to have a more detailed explanation on the technical requirements, it was necessary to produce also an annex to the Qualification Framework, contaning "Technical Specifications" for the ALL4WELL course.
This annex gives a description of general aspects of the ALL4WELL course, taking care to explain open issues related to the adaptation of the software to Windows 8 System, to introduce the new learning activities and elements of the course, the technical changes of the ALL4WELL software. In addition, it gives a brief introduction to the potential synergies between this project and the MoLLVIS Project (Mobility Language Learning for Visually Impaired Studens - LLP KA2 Languages 2014-2015), which aims to transfer the technology (that is also used by the All4Well project) to mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. See details in the Technical Specifications annex
Target group Language teachers for blind and/or visually impaired learners who work or intend to work in the wellness sector.
The Qualification Framework has individuated in which number and on what type of level the respondents do already dispose of language skills necessary for their (prospective) jobs and in which way an English course, using innovative techniques and tools in transfer of a former project, could be tailored to their needs as visually impaired learners. As emerged during the survey, the addressed target group maybe very heterogeneous as far as age or actual employment situation is concerned. But there is a common denominator: their knowledge of professional English is rather poor or not existing, the handling of everyday situations in English is a bit different, but most of the participants declared to "feel a significant lack of practical experience". Considering the above results, the Qualification Framework was very useful for all the consortium in order to choose a properly level for a language learning course. Taking into account the emerged needs, it has been situated between A1.2 and A2.1 on the ECF scale.
"Technical Specifications" supplied an effective contribute to achieve the project objectives by giving to the users a more detailed overview on the technical aspects of the course and on the potential synergies between this project and the MoLLVIS Project (Mobility Language Learning for Visually Impaired Studens - LLP KA2 Languages 2014-2015).
Area of application Internal use for the project Consortium in order to well define the contents of the ALL4WELL course.
