iMAGING is a mobile web application to transfer knowledge and innovations about RFID technology based on the content of the AulaTextil platform. This is a training platform for transferring content via an e-learning course. It has been specially adapted for training company workers, unemployed people and highly-educated students
The result of this transfer is a webapp with digital content that teaches the students about RFID technology, the current state of the art and how it should be implemented in a company.
iMAGING helps companies to overcome the continuous challenge of having to evolve and adapt to new technology. This evolution is closely linked to the competitiveness of companies in terms of greater effectiveness and efficiency
iMAGING offers the student assistance in acquiring new skills and knowledge, enable users to manage their time and decide when to use the tool in order to allow them to council work and family life.
Interactive Mobile Assisted system and Guidance learnING for RFID technology (iMAGING), uses a new teaching and learning methodology about the application of new technologies for product identification and traceability like RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) in the business world. The creation and transfer of knowledge through this new methodology is reflected in the subsequent development of an innovative interactive system to assist during the learning process. This new system works in mobile devices where the user is able to interact, to learn and achieve new knowledge in the application of the RFID technology. This system uses a new learning methodology and an interactive platform where the users can access to the learning content. The learning content is available for all kind of mobile devices, such us mobiles, tablets, PCs, etc., and different platforms like Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc., since it is a webapp.
The project was done in cooperation with 4 European countries, the tool is be available in English, German, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. The partnership involved organizations with experience in past Leonardo Projects and experience in the educational and technical field, ensuring complementarities. In addition, the fact that there were Research Organizations involved means that it was easy to reach the target audience, during the test and evaluation phase but also during the dissemination activities. The main project outcomes were the following:
• Design and development of a new learning methodology for the application of new technologies of product identification like RFID technology.
• Implementation of an innovative and interactive system for assisted orientation and users' apprentice about the use of RFID in the textile sector, which works in all kind of mobile devices.
• Validation of Formal, Non-Formal and Informal Learning, to assess the knowledge, skills and competences that are developed by the users/trainees during the learning immersion.
• Development of a platform webapp for diffusion and promotion of the project results.
iMAGING project uses contents from the RFID course of the AulaTextil e-learning platform owned by AITEX. These contents were validated and transformed to dump them in the new webbapp developed for mobile devices. This mobile webapp follows the mobile trends, providing a RFID technology learning tool for the textile industry.
iMAGING offers the possibility to transfer knowledge and innovation to company workers, unemployed people, vocational students and others, that want to learn and wide their knowledge about new technologies and specially the application of RFID in the textile sector. With this technology, the enterprises are able to obtain important advantages and benefits in several business areas, like logistics, stocks, quality control, etc. This system uses a new learning methodology and an interactive platform where the users can access to the learning content. The learning content is available for all kind of mobile devices, such us mobiles, tablets, PCs, etc., and different platforms like Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc., since it is a webapp.

Product information This project carry out a transfer of knowledge related to RFID technology with the application of a methodology and pedagogy specifically adapted to m-learning (mobile learning). To achieve this, an open webapp-based platform was used to enable extensive mobile devices access that is independent of the manufacturer or operating system.
