Title YEA Training Curriculum & Booklet (young entrepreneurs)
Product Type modules
Both the curriculum and booklet accompanied the training. This has been made available by OPV.
The methodology handbook as it stands was suitable for use in testing/ piloting the YEA in each of the partner countries. It provided a strong enough framework to build a light-touch accelerator programme, iterating the learning that is vital to build a strong programme upon successful testing.
The materials presented have been compiled on existing OPV materials but have been updated throughout 2014, using guidance and reports prepared especially by UK innovation agency NESTA. We have used the following:
- Startup accelerator programmes: a practice guide, Nesta, December 2014;
- Paul Miller, Jessica Stacey, 'Good incubation: The craft of supporting early-stage social venture', Nesta, April 2014;
- Kirsten Bound, Paul Miller, ‘The Startup Factories: The rise of accelerator programmes to support new technology ventures’, (Nesta, June 2011)
We have also worked with other UK stakeholders such as The Young Foundation (London) and assessing their social enterprise accelerator "The Accelerator".
