In recent years the debate and the research on the quality of vocational training have become elements of great interest not only to ensure "products" of value to the direct and indirect beneficiaries of the training activities, but also to bring national systems to a minimum "European "with common quality standards in the countries of the community to ensure the mobility of workers is one of the main objectives of EU policies. The project is consistent with priority's goal "design guides/concrete guidelines usable by those involved in VET in particular by training providers." The purpose of the project is to develop and test a process of controlling the quality of education through the use of the indicators set out in the Common European Framework EQAVET.
During the research, the indicators should be made objectively quantifiable and measurable giving them values that allow toconnect them with other elements of the specific QA systems and in harmony with indicators EQAVET. In this way, partnership will develop shared a system specifically applicable to assess the quality of performance training systems relative to the objectives of the provision of training activities (economic, social, individuals and operators of production systems).
The project is aimed at:
1. Design, build and implement operational tools for indicators' measuring and control in the framework of EQAVET, sharing the process with target groups and stakeholders.
2. Testing the instruments in operational training contests according collaborative methodologies and "job shadowing" approach.
3. Development of 'friendly' guidelines in particular paying attention to evaluate / promote / enhance the attractiveness of learning activities.
The operational objectives are:
a. Increasing knowledge about experiences and best practices / bad practices in EQARF implementation for tourism activities, selecting national 'exemplar cases' involving tourism enterprises, training agencies in a 'participatory research'.
b. Tuning of tools and instruments focused on the crucial issues of EQARF indicators, building up a proper instrument for implementation of qualitative EQARF indicators.
c. Increasing skills and awareness about EQAVET impact and benefit on tourism learning activities, developing collaborations and cooperation among tourism services beneficiaries (tourists, in a word), enterprises, trainers and experts and QA evaluators.
d. Widening the transnational collaboration, activating work teams to connect stakeholders for defining shared instruments
e. Experimenting friendly and usable tools to simplify the EQAVET/EQARF effective implementation in current monitoring and assessing learning activities and management.

AQUA.TS will produce the following main outputs/results:
1. A Survey, that will composed by a national surveys and a transnational chapter.
The research is structured as a ‘context analysis’ to be published. The framework of the research has the following main chapters as a suggested starting table of contents: critical points of the EQAVET and EQARF indicators; available tools and instruments as outputs of financed projects: state of the art; use of the tools and instruments by training providers; use of tools and instruments by auditors and evaluators.
2. AQUA.TS Assistance Toolkits and Guideline.
Partnership intends to experiment the effective rate of implementation of the EQARF indicator. The partnership can assure an high rate of involvement of stakeholders and beneficiaries and the development of a step-by-step building up of the toolkit with trainers and training.
The ATAT will provide trainers and auditors with tools related to EQARF indicators implementation.
The Toolkit will contain a platform for the application of the problem based learning, instructional videos, a virtual library, some video cases, some cards with practical instructions about how to use EQAVET / EQARF indicators.
This set of instructional materials will be divided per typologies of users. The materials will be designed to be used either directly as teaching materials or as the basis of QA system management. They will be also searchable and arranged by grade level.
The Guideline will give instruction about how to implement the “AQUA.TS ASSISTANCE TOOLKIT” in implementing EQARF indicators for tourism oriented learning activities. The guidelines include: tool framework description; tools, templates and instruments, a visual example.
3. Pilot Modules and Trainers Training.
The activities are aimed at the design of course modules in order also to train to the use of the Assistance Toolkit and the effective implementation of EQAVET / EQARF indicators in the tourism training and learning activities.
The partnership develops the curricula: co-designing the program and the educational framework; delivering a pilot edition in each partner country; comparing results and validating a shared program.
4. Online systems for EQAVET/EQARF management and use in current monitoring and assessing learning activities and management focusing in particular "critical indicators”.
This activity is directed to develop a web area for learning and collaboration activities for: disseminating information about EQAVET, EQARF and tourism; supporting modules and transnational module delivery; improving scientific collaboration among partners and accompanying the development.
The area is developed according to a ‘user friendy’ approach, using also ‘mush up’ methods and in a way to promote customization of the learning environment.
The web area is designed with a as an 2.0 integrated system, with flexible, dynamic and customizable contents related to and project activities. In order to promote and also to have advices about the settings the web area outline can be submitted to sample groups of stakeholders (schools, training agencies, associations and institutions).
