Marketing Text The training needs analysis identifies the current and common training needs of the EU businesses operating in the field of transport and logistics. Training needs are mainly referred to medium-high skilled job profiles.
The analysis was the result of a three-part study. The main focus were the medium-high skilled job profiles, nevertheless all the VET system was considered.
In the first part partners were asked to identify and present the main studies or reports or surveys dealing with labour market training needs with a special focus on the studies/reports/surveys tackling transport and logistics training needs of the labour market in partner country and/or region .
The second part dealt with interviews. AFT suggested that partners should favour interview with HR managers or first line managers since they have a more global vision of the job and a greater vision of the company strategy and needs in terms of training and qualifications. However, AFT prepared a specific guide for interviewing the job handlers since it can feed also the qualification definition part.
Finally the third part was drawn by AFT and consisted in a synthesis of the main relevant aspects underlined in national contributions. The first part consisted in the presentation of the common training needs in all partner countries i.e. : Information Technology, improving road drivers qualifications, “Green” skills and stress prevention. The second chapter presented more in details the national/ regional labour market training need analysis with the main results of the existing studies and the results of interviews.
