Marketing Text On the basis of standardised patterns for describing the continuous professional development (CPD) and along defined quality criteria, five projects were chosen from the various learning projects carried out in the piloting phase. These projects are described as good practice examples in order explain the whole process: the planning, delivery and the validation of learning and the impact assessment in regard to competence development that are visualised by means of the LEVEL5-cube.
The mission of PROVIDE is to support the continuing professional development of educational professionals through a competence based learning approach fostering the acquisition and improvement of key competences for educators, as identified in the so called disc study (reference).
Further the project’s aim is to provide opportunities to validate competences of educational professionals and to further contribute to the recognition of individual learning and thus the adaption to ever new demands in the field of education. Within the piloting phase of the project 14 learning projects from education providers all over Europe were carried out successfully. This report highlights five so called good practice projects of these very diverse approaches in different educational fields.

Area of application The good practice report shall justify the concept and attract stakeholders in the field to join the PROVIDE community and to work and apply competence oriented learning approaches and validation. It shall of course attract the aforementioned professionals to go for a CPD in this field.
