Marketing Text ECVET Toolkit4Practitioners Master Document – A Practical ECVET Overview for VET Practitioners in Hospitality Sector.
This is the 1st STEP for any VET practitioner who wishes to understand or implement the ECVET tool at their organization. This document includes detailed information as well as relevant forms and templates needed for the successful implementation of the ECVET tool and process.
The Toolkit4practitioners Master Document and all the forms and templates you will find included have been especially developed and adapted within the framework of the ECVET4practitioners project – for the needs of implementing student geographical mobility within the hospitality sector and refer to three separate study fields: (1) Cook; (2) Front Office; and (3) Service. However, the process can be easily transferred and adapted to other study fields across any VET institution and EU country. For your convenience, the related sample templates and forms included in this document are also listed under the different phases of the mobility stage as shown in the diagram below.
As you review the ECVET Toolkit4Practitioners Master Document you are advised to pay special attention to the following key documents which form the basis of the ECVET tool/process regardless of the study field, VET institution and/or country involved:
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU): forms the basis for establishing a common trust between the Host and Sending institution for a long and successful collaboration.
Learning Agreement (LA): sets out the competences, knowledge and skills (i.e. learning outcomes) that the Host institution is looking for the student to achieve and the Sending institution is obliged to assess that the student has achieved during the mobility. The LA should be formulated as soon as the learning outcomes are mapped out for the specific area(Unit) within the study field and agreed between the Sending the Host institution. In this toolkit you will find the related learning outcomes for 2 Units: (1) Cook and (2) Front Office.
Assessment Forms: during the student mobility the Host institution must conduct an individualized student assessment based on the agreed learning outcomes documented in the LA. The assessment process is a critical step for ensuring that the learning outcomes achieved during the student mobility are of the expected quality in order to warrant the credit transfer for the achievement of the desired qualification by the student.
Target group VET practitioners who wish to apply the ECVET tool for geographical mobility at their institution.
