En ce sens, scientifiques de l'Institut des Sciences du Travail à l'Université Ruhr à Bochum (RUB) développent le programme de la formation continue «InnoWeit - Von der Innovation zur beruflichen Weiterbildung» (InnoWeit - De l'innovation à la formation continue professionnelle). À ce sujet il s'agit de transférer la méthode éprouvée «InnoKenn» à d'autres pays-membres de l'Union Européenne. Entreprises en Bulgarie, en Grèce, en Lithuanie, en Hongrie et en Espagne participent pour qualifier leurs employés et pour dénicher et faire avancer des produits nouveaux, des prestations de service et des méthodes de travail.
Innovation is the magic word – innovations are products, services, and processes that are new for internal or external customers and that can be implemented successfully. A company will only make full use of its potential by involving most of its employees. This was one of the main hypotheses of the project. The project InnoWeit identified fields of action for firm-specific further education so that employees could learn how to develop and realize new ideas. During the project the InnoKenn-Tool was implemented as a method of analysis. This scientifically developed method had been effectively applied in Germany. It was adapted to the specific requirements of the partner countries and developed further as well as distributed through trainings by external innovation experts and in-house innovation promoters.
InnoKenn records innovation-related strengths and weaknesses in the areas of strategy, process, structure and employees. Based on the results issues for firm-specific further education were deduced. External innovation experts initiated the implementation of the InnoKenn method and took a consulting function, internal innovation promoters then realized the method independently in the company. By diagnosis and analysis consolidation and improvement of the innovation ability in the organization can be strengthened and with it, the employability of both organisations and employees.
InnoWeit addressed the Europe-wide problem to maintain innovation ability in respect of demographic change and ageing workforces. The rising demands for new approaches that adjust changing workplaces and vocational training were met.
InnoKenn was the basis for training programs which were developed and implemented in Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain and Lithuania. The InnoKenn-Tool detected strengths and weaknesses of organisations concerning their innovative ability. The results were used for organisational improvement and gave usefull indications for the qualification of employees. The InnoKenn method was implemented in 23 organizations in the partner countries. The project focussed primarily specialists, middle and junior managers, who support the senior management basally. External innovation experts were supplemented by internal innovation promoters. These promoters were members of the organizations and had the task to introduce, accompany and evaluate the innovation projects immediately on-location. They used the results, which had been obtained in the context of the method InnoKenn regarding innovation ability. The InnoKenn method was evaluated and adjusted during the project by expert workshops in the participating countries. The empirical results and experiences were the basis to match the relevant aspects of the vocational training for innovation ability with the general and cultural conditions in the participating countries.
Prospectively the target groups of the evaluated training programs will be managers and in-house innovation promoters. After being trained they will have available applicable knowledge and interdisciplinary working methods. Based on knowledge from the field of Change Management, Process Management, Quality & Creativity Management and Employability they will apply operational solutions and strategies that promote new ideas and encourage employees to contribute to innovation and employability.

Results of the project are country-specific trainings for external innovation experts, who advise organisations focussing on innovation ability, and internal innovation promoters, who develop initiatives regarding the employability of an organisation. The trainings (in consideration of the cultural specifics) should also be employed in different European countries.
23 organizations in the five participating countries implemented the method InnoKenn and thereby contributed to incremental enhancement of the training programs. The sustained impact of the deployment was and will be supported by the “Train the Trainer”-approach and also through creation of country-specific and project-wide expert networks.
For this purpose the InnoKenn documents, the documents for the training and the computer program were translated into the languages of the partner countries.
Evaluation alongside the project and 6 expert workshops carried out in the participating countries were the basis for enhancement of the InnoKenn method and cultural adaption.
Four self-learning modules (Innovation- & Employability, Change Management, Process Management, Quality Management & Creativity) were developed. Modules and the diagnosis tool will be promoted ongoing by the project partners.
