Marketing Text The aim of the project Take Care was developing solutions for people working in the Health sector and who face daily problems on physical and psychological level. A particularly attention wwas spent to thematic: "Health and Safety" at Work, soft skills, managerial skills.
Statistics shows that the need for qualified nurses will increase crucially in the next years. Nursing will be one of the biggest offer for employment.Studies shows the difficulties nurses are actually confronted with. Healthcare professionals in developed countries blame their malaise not on a shortage of the latest technology, or insuficient training, or poor work environments, but on factors such as understafing (42%), stress levels (39%), paperwork (32%), high levels of administrative work(32%),and poor management(31%). The project Take Care developped training tools and methodologies which can help to raise the competence level of these professional groups in three preselected fields: Management, Health and Safety, soft skills. These three thematics are correponding to the main difficulties explained by the professionals.
The innovative learning modules are ICT based (www.takecare-project.eu), an e-handbook describing innovative management tools can be downloaded for free in all partner languages; health and safety regulations, soft skills training adapted to the needs of the target group is available as online training.For on site training don't hesitate to upload the mgame on apple store or google play: TAKE CARE EU, which helps to increase soft skills for Caregivers.
All project partners created a network with national institutions, competence oriented approach allows mutual recognition of training and qualifications.
The project Take Care concerns all citizen, firtstable the target group, professionals of the health sector, but also all people who need or will need for health service.
Take Care took up up the problem of the shortage of skilled professionals in the specific area of health care related services at European level. Training standards in the participating countries were analyzed and national qualification descriptions (learning outcomes) are provided refering to the EQF. The implication of stakeholdes guaranteed the cooperation between education, training and work, the developed results support the education system in the target sector. Social and civic competences are crucial for these professions, but also necessary in all parts of life.
To face the challenge of the sector in the next years, a strategy for upgrading skills in the EU Health sector is highly needed.
The proposed strategy was divided into 3 main parts each addressing an overall key objective:
1. Enhance the development of human capital in the EU health sector
2. Improve Health and Safety conditions, the accident rate in the health care sector is 34% higher than the EU average. (European Agency for health and safety at work)
3. Improve soft skills and personanal development
The valorisation of these professions is beneficial for strengthen the European dimension through European professionalization by adult learning innovation. Need analysis and comparative analysis, based on existing training courses and programs become extremely relevant and allowed the creation of new training modules, methods and approaches. The new profiles are mapped, in accordance to EQF, ECVET.
This proposal aimed at creating a new professional figure for the health sector, endowed with new management skills, competencies in the field health and safety, soft skills, tools and methods needed in order to face the main trends affecting the sector.

The consortium developed the following results and products:
Added Value, a reportage of the 10 most effetive international practices, in a safe, HRM oriented way, integrating the needed soft skills, including the 10 evidence based advantages deriving from the innovative management character.

A report deriving from the collation of results obtained at the different national levels. Description of the profile of innovative managers of Health Institutions, analyzed in the view of opportunities and constraints characterising the European Health sector.
EQF of the Manager in the Health Sector,
The new European Qualification Framework of the Manager in the Health sector, in terms of
punctual definition of knowledge, skills and competencies to be owned in order to be able to (1) coordinate differentiated workforce with regard to specialisation and internationalisation, (2) organise a panorama of needed soft skills of the staff working in this sector (3) organise instruction and training of staff as regards working practices that comply with health and safety rules.
Info training toolkit, e-handbook
This handbook is a support for managers in health sector, wishing to develop the future skills needed by the labour market. They can find specific motivational, informative, formative and operative material, in terms of solutions (e-How approach) for implementing innovative HR management strategy, with regards to internationalisation (allowing improving mobility of professionals between the European Health Institutions, associations, e.g.) for applying Health and Safety legislations and for integrating soft skills in their daily work to potentiel difficulties
Educational Mobile Game for on-site training:
a mobile game addressed to professionals in the health sector - multicultural, adult and low skilled target group, easing the operative tasks of their work: e.g. motivating the staff to comply with health and safety regulations, and ensuring that emotional burdens are minimised throughout all stages of the work day. Freely downloadable from the web portal.
A dedicated portal containing all the tools and approaches elaborated. A peer development network was developed and integrated in the web site, allowing communication between European stakeholders, professionals, staff.

National Specialisation Seminars
Each coutry organised a specialisation seminar addressed to Managers in Health sector, making them able to (1) coordinate differentiated workforce with regard to specialisation and internationalisation, (2) organise the comprehension, adaption of soft skills, (3) organise instruction and training of staff as regards working practices that comply with health and safety (4) understand the importance of EQF and the approach of ECVET.
