Marketing Text At the conference, which was carried out by German Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (f-bb), approaches and examples of good practice for a competence-based training in Europe were presented. The conference included contributions by business companies (as VET providers), the European Commission (European Alliance for Apprenticeships), the National Agency (NA BIBB) and VET experts.
Description Within the final conference the project results were presented. From a total of 113 persons registered 83 participants were present at the meeting. Trainers, trainees and vocational education experts from Germany, Austria, Spain, the UK and the Czech Republic contributed to shape the conference. Opportunities, challenges and ways to support work-based training were presented both in lectures and in parallel discussion panels. Well-known companies such as Brose and Audi will present their training concepts. In a marketplace of ideas and possibilities and a tour of the training area of one of the largest automotive supplier in the world, the participants also gained an insight into training opportunities in Germany and Europe. The conference will took place at the Brose GmbH & Co. KG in Coburg.
Target group The participants consisted of representatives of the European Commission, the NA BIBB, from companies, vocational schools, educational institutions, chambers and employment service agencies.
The conference was very successful. The professional exchange and practical suggestions and "new food for thought" have been assessed favorably.
56 per cent of participants rated the conference as very good and 44 percent as good. 84 percent of the participants found it worthwhile to attend the meeting. The tour of the training area of Brose was judged to be interesting, all the participants were enthusiastic about it.
