This will contribute to the valorisation of project outputs. Thus, more sustainable products can be obtained which is vital for developing Turkish Industry.
The importance of electronic assembling technology in the process of industries has increased gradually in recent years. In the highly industrialized countries, process electronics serves to enhance product quality, master the whole range of products, and efficiently utilize resources. In the rapidly developing countries, mass production is the main motivation for applying process of electronic assembling technology. The main actor in electronics is the Assembling, Components & PCBs which are widely used in highly industrialized countries.
The lack of qualified personnel and mass production is one of the most important problems to apply electronic assembling technology . This problem arises especially in SMEs, where the automated applications are rarely realized because of lack of information in every level of personal from managers to workers.
The main aim and objective of this project is to create a training module via 3D about electronic technology on Assembling, Components and PCBs to educate the managers/employees of SMEs and technical teachers in vocational schools about electronic assembling technology in industry and technological field.
There are 5 partners from 4 european countries: Turkey (2), Hungary (1), Romania (1), and Slovakia (1).
The participation of professional organizations, training institutions, research center and also SMEs will empower the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed model and this will contribute to the sustainability of the project activities.
Electronic Assembling Technology plays an increasingly important role in the global economy and in daily experience. Engineers try to control devices to create complex systems for a rapidly expanding range of applications and human activities.
As nowadays many companies need to increase the production quality and efficiency, they need to integrate the existing facilities (from many vendors) to new, electronic solutions. To do it, they need training on how to select, integrate and operate the electronic assmebling systems in order to achieve the highest efficiency and the shortest ROI (Return On Investment) period.
The main problem in this sector is the lack of system and permanent mechanism for qualified resources development. If we analyze this problem, the following points can be found out; Lack of vocational qualifications (VQs), Lack of qualified work force construction of electronic , maintenance of electronic and user training services, Lack of system of validity of non-formal and informal learning.
There is no structural system for vocational qualifications and validation of formal, non-formal and informal learning in order to establish sustainable links between labour market and education. This is an urgent and very fundamental need for having a VET system which responds the needs of labour market and individual. There are thousands of SMEs which can use electronic systems in production of several sectors but do not have any vision and qualified employees which can apply those electronic assembling in production.
In VAPAEAT project, a new innovative training system will be developed about electronic technology on Assembling, Components and PCBs. The training system will not only include the theorethical knowledgde about the automation systems in industry, but the technical and practical examples which will be shown as 3D animation
The Elect2eat - E-Learning Education and Continuing Training to Electronics Assembling Technology trainings in the field: most advanced solutions in technology, Electronics Assembling Technology manufacturing systems – Pilot project will be selected as base and the training methods will be transferred in context of VAPAEAT project.
In context of VAPAEAT project, a training module will be designed where the trainees can find several application examples about Components, PCBs and Assembling which are used in industry, especially with electronic technology. Knowledge transferred in training courses to be developed in this project, will make possible to increase the productivity and efficiency of production in enterprises, especially in SMEs through the improvement of qualifications of people to be trained.
The main target groups will be (1) managers, (2) employees in SMEs and unemployed workers, but also (3) teachers/trainers and consultants. The main target sectors are: SMEs active in production, which have potential to automate complete production or a part of production chain and the basic vocational education institutes which are supporting the development of the SMEs staff.

The transfer of Elec2eat results within the scope of VAPAEAT project will offer a significantly extended scope of 3D contents related to electronic technology on Assembling, Components and PCBs, will be realised through the innovative approach via web, offering collaborative learning facilities, experience exchange among learners, which is an excellent opportunity to react on and to fulfil needs of SME community and professional training organisations.
Additionally the VAPAEAT project will be more visual and technic oriented where the ELECT2EAT project has mainly focused on a training modules which contains theorethical information designed in a virtual factory.
Therefore VAPAEAT project will focus on the following aspects during creating the target training module in Electronic Assembling Technology:
• Application examples about Electronic Assembling in SMEs
• Visual Examples about production and usage of assembling technology
• Components & PCBs
• Examples of usage of assembling systems
• As the initial developer of this project is involved as a partner in current partnership, the methods used in ELECT2EAT project and the experiences gained in that project can be used in this project, which will play an important role in reaching targets successfully.
