Marketing Text Following the evaluation processes the course take the final configuration. The final task in WP Evaluations & Quality Assurance is to start ACTs course accreditation by Edexcel/BTEC or IMarEST (or Nautical Institute), which are the leading provider of internationally recognized qualifications and whose qualifications are recognized world-wide.
PRU has submitted COLREGs Course Unit information Pack (Syllabus) to C4FF for further coordination with accreditation authority in UK.
It is also pertinent to point out that as a result of NA objection there is no funded provision/requirement to/for seek/seeking accreditation of the ACTs COLREGs Course from a professional body with international recognition. These types of accreditations require detailed information on the learning aspects specifically on assessment issues. However, Unit of Study has been prepared which also includes a set of assessment criteria for assessment. The Unit has been prepared which is expected to be reviewed and used for the accreditation of the COLREGs course in the post-funding period of the project by C4FF and PRU. This is considered an important development ensuring the sustainability of ACTs project and future exploitation.
Target group Maritime education and Training providers, Deck Officers, Deck Cadets at Maritime Schools/Courses, Maritime lecturers and students.
