Marketing Text The ACTs Course had been developed in WP4 Course Content and WP5 eLearning Platform.
In accordance with ACTs Project WP7 Evaluation & Quality Assurance the Course is evaluated internally and externally.
The first step in evaluation of ACTs Course and e-learning and e-assessment system was conducted through internal evaluation by a team of experts described in DEL15. Full ACTs course after internal review and improvements.
The second step in Course evaluation is 1st piloting, as part of external evaluation. The 1st piloting evaluation was conducted in 4 partner countries.
First idea was to have three pilot groups formed with at least 8 end-users guided with an experienced teacher from the 3 different countries (C4FF, NVNA, UoR).
Additionally, partners decide to have one more piloting group at PRU.
This initial evaluation (piloting) has been conducted in English languages and the only English version of COLREGs Course was evaluated. Teachers led the group and recorded their observations and comments. All participant of the piloting (students, seafarers and teachers) had filled in a questionnaire. 1st Course Piloting Consolidated Results and Comments have been submitted on 8th of July 2015 by PRU.
Target group Maritime education and Training providers, Deck Officers, Deck Cadets at Maritime Schools/Courses, Maritime lecturers and students.

Area of application As a part of the teaching, learning and assessment strategy of the COLREGs Course, arrangements are being carried out to evaluate all ACTs scenarios and web materials internally and externally to maintain a high standard of ACTs Course. The aim and objectives of the 1st piloting have been fully met. The result contributes in achieving one of the main project aims, which is development of an innovative on-line e-learning and e-assessment platform to deliver the developed COLREGs course.
