Das Projekt „Young Leaders“ wird ein innovatives Trainingskonzept für die Entwicklung und den Ausbau von Führungskompetenzen junger Führungskräfte in den beteiligten Ländern und unter einer Europäischen Perspektive entwickeln.
Dieses Training wird sich insbesondere auf überfachliche Führungskompetenzen konzentrieren.
Zielgruppe sind Universitätsabsolventinnen und –absolventen, junge arbeitslose potentielle Führungskräfte, potenzielle Unternehmensgründerinnen und –gründer, sowie junge Führungskräfte mit weniger als fünf Jahren Berufserfahrung.
Sie alle sollen ihre zusätzlichen Potenziale erkennen und anwenden lernen, indem sie Fähigkeiten der Führung von sich selbst und Anderen ausbauen.

Our project entitled“Developing and enhancing leadership skills for young managers in times of crisis: an innovative training package for European young professionals” is addressed to young people aiming to develop or enhance their leadership skills. In the rapidly changing and unstable business environment that EU firms operate nowadays, there is a fundamental shift in how organizations compete and in how they are managed. In this new era of economic uncertainty, leadership becomes critically important, as great leaders are the basis of all business achievements. Companies globally are striving to identify and develop outstanding leaders to face the challenges of a highly volatile market and do more with less. Thus older models of leadership are not appropriate. This project entitled YOUNG LEADERS will train Young Business Leaders (YBLs-University graduates trying to enter into the workforce, young professionals who want to progress to senior management positions and would-be entrepreneurs) to develop their leadership skills.
The main aim of YOUNG LEADERS is to provide a coherent, innovative and complete training package to young people in Cyprus, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Latvia on new leadership skills needed during turbulent economic times.
The training material, which will be developed by an academic/research team of Panteion University in Greece, will be transferred to the other four EU partners involved. Each partner will adjust this training package within their local environment, taking into account cultural, language, business-related and other factors that are relevant to their own country. At the end of the project, the final product will be a complete YOUNG LEADERS training package, which will be available both electronically and in hard copy.
YOUNG LEADERS aims to develop an innovative training package for the enhancement of leadership skills among young business people.
Main aims and objectives:
a) Transfer and further develop from the Greek partner (P1) an innovative training package and methodology for developing new leaders in the four EU countries (Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia and Bulgaria). The training will embrace all the latest developments in the leadership field, still not available in the receiving countries.
B) By developing employability skills such as leadership skills, according to the needs of the labour market, new jobs will be created, helping in decreasing unemployment across Europe.
c) YOUNGLEADERS will achieve transparency and recognition of professional skills and qualifications for young managers and development of new skills and knowledge of VET trainers.
d) Increase firm competitiveness in Europe through the training provided to young managers, assisting in enhancing employee productivity and satisfaction levels across all industries.
a)Develop hundreds of new leaders across Europe in the following 5-10 years, who can contribute in firms becoming more competitive.
b)Through the development of new companies, youth unemployment will also decrease.
c)Moreover the project will assist professional trainers/VET people to enhance their knowledge and skills in the leadership area and equip them with a powerful and contemporary training tool.

The main product developed through YOUNG LEADERS project is a comprehensive training programme on executive leadership skills for youths in time of economic crisis in both electronic and hard copy format.
-A complete and innovative training programme
-The only one of its kind which has been funded by the European Commission
-Modern and customized to the business environment of the European and worldwide market
-Translated in 5 languages (Greek, Lithuanian, English, Bulgarian and Latvian)
-Pilot tested with massive success in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Latvia and Lithuania, where we had 105 pilot testing participants, from which 99% were satisfied participants, 100% enjoyed taking the course, 98% developed new skills, knowledge and experience
YOUNG LEADERS training package is available to:
-Companies aiming to develop and enhance their young employees’ skills
-Youth organizations and associations working towards the enhancement of employability and entrepreneurial skills of young people.
Moreover, everyone interested in having access to the training material, he/she could visit our E-learning training course. The purpose of the e-learning platform developed is to reach potential users (YBLs, young entrepreneurs, University graduates) from across Europe and abroad and also training/VET organisations wishing to expand and update their training material on the leadership topic.
