Title PROfessional development of the ACTors involved in the social economy sector
Project Number 2012-1-FR1-LEO05-34257
Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Marketing Text The PROACT project has allowed improving and strengthening skills of 66 actors involved in the social economy sector in Europe. These actors indeed learnt how to carry out the diagnostic of an organisation in order to identify the main needs and difficulties of the organisations and the solutions. This contributes to the strengthening of the organisation.
In Europe, the social economy sector is increasingly playing a more important role in the social and economic lives of its citizens. However this sector is largely composed of lots of small size organisations with employees/volunteers and managers with little or few experience regarding the management and professional development of their organisation required to meet new expectations. The professional development of this sector is therefore very important and needed in order to strengthen current jobs and create new ones.
PROACT seeked to respond to and address these problems and needs. The project has indeed allowed improving and strengthening skills of 66 actors involved in the social economy sector in Europe by implementing pilot trainings in 5 partner countries (FR, CZ, IT, PT, UK). Moreover, this project has also reinforced the partner organisations by designing and implementing a training of trainers. This training has allowed increasing knowledge and skills of 11 trainers in organizational capacity-building.
The main products of this project are 2 training manuals (one for the trainers and one for the trainees) available in the partners languages (FR, CZ, IT, PT and UK).
The final dissemination conference organized in France (Bordeaux) in September 2014 (with 100 persons attending the meeting!) with the PROACT patners was a real success and allowed to present the project results to a large public.
The aim of the project was to develop and support the acquisition of knowledge and key competences at work for the actors involved in the Non-profit sector.
To achieve this aim, the partnership has adapted a French training during the 1st year of the project. This training carried out by the French promoter IFAID Aquitaine is focused on organizational capacity-building and especially on organizational assessment.
The 2nd year of the project was focused on the transfer divided in 2 main steps:
1) Reinforcing the partner organisations by designing and implementing a trainers training: 11 trainers has been trained to the innovative solution to be transferred. These trainers have therefore acquired new competences. A manual for trainers has been designed in FR, EN, PT, IT and CZ.
2) Developing competences of 66 actors involved in the Third sector by designing and implementing pilot trainings towards them in each partner country. Each trainer previously trained has carried out training in their own country towards the target public. A manual for the learners has been designed in FR, EN, PT, IT and CZ.
The products and training have been evaluated by INIT; a German organization specialized in evaluation of European projects.
The projects results have been disseminated all along the project and during the final dissemination conference organized in France in September 2014.
