The project "start-up" meeting report is the report of the first meeting.
The task 1.1. Establishing of project work methodology took place in month 2, when the kick-off meeting was organised by IBA Bucharest in 23-24 of February. All the participants were present, including representatives of the financing agency – The National Agency for Community Programmes in Education and Training. A briefly programme presentations have been done pointing out the quality of the partnership which has been appreciated as good and appropriate, due to all the participants’ experience in similar projects in the past years. The financial rules were discussed and the reporting documents were explained (how to be downloaded and fulfilled on the European Agency website, where all the partners have to contribute in filling the reporting forms).
The coordinator announced that a Consortium Agreement is on the way to be finalized (in English) with the same articles following the Romanian contract between the Funding Agency and IBA Bucharest and an technical annex with partners’ activities was added to the Agreement as a handbook for the project running period. The partnerships structure was explained: three food sector experienced organizations – IBA (Romania), CTC (Spain) and UCP-ESB (Portugal) and one partner specialized on e-learning solutions – SIVECO (Romania). The target groups for the project are both companies (mainly SMEs) and a sub-contract with the Employers ‘Association ROMALIMENTA will offer to the consortium the direct access to sector companies and the relation with two high schools and the university is offering to the consortium the contact with important categories of consumers which shall be involved in specific project activities (i.e. surveys).
The ToI4Food project is a tool which may help in changing the status-of-art, by transferring expertise and experience from Spain and Portugal to Romania.
Each work package was presented and discussed in terms of the objectives and proposed tasks and deadlines.
A List of To Do’s was elaborated with planned activities for each partner and deadlines.
