Project Type Transfer of Innovation
Marketing Text Creativity management methods in order to remove the barriers for creativity of the individual, as well as strategies for development of technologies and innovations require flexible organisational structures and a new way of thinking for management practice. Creativity support is a prerequisite for innovations development as it facilitates the better tracking and transfer of high quality ideas among employees, provides the right people with the right information at the right time and as a result of these, fosters a working environment for innovation and ideas creation.
Creativity and innovation are often key to the success of a business, particularly in strategic planning and when designing new products and services. All companies and in particular SMEs face increasing competition not only for sales, but also for technical know-how and skills. In this environment, competitiveness at company level depends crucially on the speed with which new products can be brought to the market and new cost-saving improvements made.
The Creativity Development & Innovation Training Package - outcome of the I-Create project meets all these needs, while supporting SMEs in understanding and applying creativity methods, recognizing innovation strategies and developing new products. SMEs will improve their ability to respond quickly to changing market needs and focus resources in a proper way.
Creativity & Innovation management is critical for all organisations and companies where knowledge creation and use is part of their everyday activities. Many studies suggest that European enterprises are ‘reinventing the wheel’ and they should boost their creativity in order to be innovate and competitive in the research community.

+ To provide SMEs with a fully documented training material in creativity & innovation management in order to better develop abilities to identify their obstacles to creativity & innovation and take necessary actions.
+ To provide SMEs with the necessary tools, which are demonstrated in practice in order to better develop abilities to identify their obstacles to creativity and innovation and take necessary actions.
+ To increase the competitiveness and the innovation capacity by providing SMEs with the necessary creativity tools and practices for their every day activities.
+ To increase the European business and vocational training community awareness and to cultivate a common consciousness about creativity management in order to create the necessary supporting culture for creativity in Europe.
+ To increase the adaptability of the business culture as creativity requires the complementarities of both the technological and organisational modernisation as well as change management.
The consortium which implemented the project consisted of six partners from five European countries, namely Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Spain and Ireland. The partnership included private institutions, private non-profit research centres, training institutions and an enterprise. The different background of the partners, all of them with experience in different EU and national projects, and their ambitions within the project guaranteed a wide dissemination of the project results. The 6 partners of the I-Create project have been selected for their expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of creativity & innovation as well as for their ability to contribute to the successful valorization plan of the project.
