Marketing Text In order to be successful in your hospitality jobs you should also have some technical skills in addition to your soft skills. This Module will enlighten you in some of the aspects related to Web 2.0 technologies and their extensions needed for your working life in the sector.
Description The aim of the module is to provide the participants with the required knowledge about the popular Web 2.0 tools and their use in hospitality sector especially in hotels.
Target group Inactive Women (housewives, women on maternity leave and after maternity and parental leave, women looking after children and disabled adults, MAW) , who are neither in work nor seeking employment because of family responsibilities , who have natural "talent" combined with experience but have problem to re-enter in working life because of several family responsibilities, who have already fulfilled the most important women tasks (maternity and paternal leave) and also have sufficient practical experience and background, are ready to apply for a new job and to be an ideal employee in tourism sector
Result At the end of the module the learner would have factual and theoretical knowledge in broad contexts in Web 2.0 applications, tools and their efficient utilization in hospitality sector, especially in hotels.
Area of application Technology has greatly impacted the hospitality industry in the past few years. One of the most important changes has been the proliferation of Web 2.0 and the effect that social media has had on influencing which hotels leisure and business travellers choose for their trips. In fact, according to surveys, online reviews play a larger role than price in the decision-making process for consumers.
