Marketing Text The survey assessed the existing national VET systems on the professions of Waste Management in industry. Any formal and informal training was taken into consideration. Information like the structure and content of the VET programmes, their cost, the possible source of financing, their learning outcomes and acquired knowledge were examined. The second survey was conducted at all partners’ countries of the project (Greece, Germany, Italy, Hungary, UK, Poland, Lithuania and Bulgaria).
Eight reports, one for each participating country, were prepared after the realisation of respective surveys on the different national VET systems and training programmes regarding Solid Waste Facilities Managers. Each survey was conducted via the distribution of more than 200 questionnaires to companies, vocational training institutes, and competent bodies. An original questionnaire was prepared in English by the Work Package Leader. The questionnaire was translated in the languages of all project partners by staff members in order to broaden the range of responders to the survey procedure.
The reports were prepared in English.
Target group Companies, Industries, Vocational Training Institutes, Competent bodies related to Health and Safety issues (training included).
Result The learning procedures, through which the identified qualifications of professionals in the Solid Waste Management Industry are acquired, will be mapped.
Area of application The collected information will be used in WP-4 for the designation of the first version of a harmonised competence and training frame for the different levels of SWFM qualifications in line with the directions of the EU (EQF, ECVET) policy.
