Marketing Text The Irish-Northern Irish toolkit is one of four key products of the project. It represents the compressed and applied training knowledge of the transfer. Please check the full documentation on our project website www.pat-tein.eu and in the enclosed document.
The Irish-Northern Irish Partners transferred merged and adapted 2 toolkits from the French-German border on intercultural CB project management and the intercultural moderation of cross-border meetings. The final Toolkit for Intercultural Cross-Border Project Management, which can be used in a range of cross-border settings. Central to the Toolkit is the intercultural aspect of CBC, an element whose proposed inclusion was received extremely positively by participants in the two Test Modules.
The transfer of the Toolkit to the Ireland/Northern Ireland context involved supplementing the common parts (i.e. elements of the Toolkit applicable to other cross-border territories) with parts specific to the Ireland/Northern Ireland context, as well as illustrative case studies (the All-Island Local Authority Forum and its cross-border sub-groups, and Expac's Future Resolutions Programme). However, following responses from participants in the two Test Modules, the final transfer of the Toolkit has created scope for the inclusion of an "external" case study, i.e. one from another European cross-border territory.
In the final Toolkit the Common Parts as well as the Border Specific Parts has been merged. Thus the completed Toolkit includes following parts:
Introduction: Context and objectives of Leonardo funding; professionalization of CBC; EU social and territorial cohesion and CBC; the origins of the Toolkit; why the Toolkit is needed; who is the Toolkit intended for; what are the Toolkit's ultimate objectives; an overview of the TEIN network; an explanation of the PAT-TEIN project and a description of its evolution; an overview of the Toolkit's structure; an explanation of how it should be used; some contextual information on the Ireland/Northern Ireland border region.
